measures and tips to preserve seafood. Preserving seafood is still a nightmare
for many of us. How many measurements we can take though, end of the result
will not stand on up to the mark.
Our chefs say there are many ways and resources are
available to preserve the seafood, all you need is safe handling and basic
knowledge. This basic knowledge we can get from our grand moms but these days
we can find in google, websites, blogs, and other sources.
- When you are in a shopping, choose a seafood at last in your cart. Maintain a cooler temperature to bring home. Or If you are fishing your own fish, do not let sit aside make sure to store in an ice and water, where 2 times of Ice with I part of water.
- Best idea to store seafood in there refrigerator for more than two days is to store a seafood in moisture proofed bag zip it tightly and store it.
- Follow First in First out concept to thaw a stored seafood, don’t get confused! There was a time to store a huge quantity of sea food in the freezer in such cases take out the first packed seafood and start preparing delicious dishes.
- Do not overheat the seafood in the microwave and same time do not cook immediately after taking out from there refrigerator.
- Marinades are always best for seafood but make sure to cook stored food by maintaining proper temperature.
It is recommended that always marinade seafood in a glass or plastic container.
Apart from these measures, our chefs suggest cook seafood properly at a proper temperature
without hurry. Make sure all your serving utensils are clean to avoid food borne
